Engineer-R&D, | Koç Kariyerim

What awaits you in this role?
We are looking for a passionate Engineer-R&D who will join our team at SDA.

• Take an active role in R&D and project management of outsourced projects for Kitchen Small Domestic Appliances in terms of technical research, system design, analysis, testing, and verification,
• Support the project teams technically and work in close coordination with project leaders in related projects,
• Plan and conduct specific tests and setups, and prepare outcome reports with meaningful data analysis,
• Work closely with related parties for new product and concept product development,
• Research and benchmark innovative food-tech applications and developments in the small domestic appliance market to create internal know-how,
• Research scholarly studies, patents, and start-ups about alternative technologies and trends, and support implementation of these ideas into small domestic appliances,
• Create system prototypes for new innovative product ideation with related teams,
• Take an active role in cost improvement and quality improvement projects,
• Work on a project related to a Master’s thesis.

The position is located in Çayırova, İstanbul.

How we describe the perfect match?

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and has started a Master’s level education,
• Has ambition to work in a laboratory environment, designing experiments, testing, and creating system prototypes,
• Possesses knowledge of thermal analysis and is able to simulate a system and translate findings into meaningful outcomes; experience with Ansys or equivalent CAE software is a plus,
• Has basic knowledge of production methodologies and engineering materials,
• Has basic knowledge in mechanical design and experience with any 3D engineering CAD software is a plus,
• Demonstrates a result-oriented mindset with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills,
• Expresses ideas clearly, supported by data analysis and research,
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills in English,
• Thinks broadly about business and understands market and customer needs,
• Recognizes and understands the emotions of others,
• Listens to different perspectives and shows flexibility,
• Builds collaboration effectively,
