What awaits you in this role?

We are looking for a passionate Senior Lead - Data Engineer-Planning who will join our team at Supply Chain Directorate in Beko Corporate.

• Understand Bekos supply chain and supply chain data; use data to drive key insights in order to drive foundational changes within the supply chain and optimize process/outputs/results,
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture for ongoing and new projects,
• Assemble large, complex datasets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements,
• Identify, design and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.,
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data froma wide variety of data sources using SQL and Amazon cloud services,
• Build analytical tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics,
• Work with stakeholders, including the local, regional, and global teams, to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Provide guidance and monitoring to less experienced members; advising and helping to identify future projects,
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems,
• Have ownership of the project, creating a project plan, tracking project progress and hosting user group meetings.

This position is located in Çayırova, İstanbul.

How do we describe the perfect match?

• Bachelors Degree in a highly quantitative field (Industrial Engineering, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent experience. (Masters Degree is a plus),
• Having conceptual knowledge of supply chain industry methodologies and principles especially in household or similar electrical appliances, 
• Having advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases,
• Having experience building and optimizing "big data" data pipelines, architectures and sata sets,
• Having experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement,
• Having strong analytic skills related to working with unstuctured datasets,
• Having 3+ years of SQL experience,
• Having 2+ years of experience with workflow engines (i.e. AWS step functions)
• Having basic knowledge of software development principles and architecture,
• Having experience with large-scale, complex datasets to create/optimize predictive, forecasting, and/or optimization models (SQL and/or KNIME knowledge is a plus),
• Having willingness to study in the areas of supply chain optimization projects (forecasting modeling, disaggregation and decomposition, inventory optimization, network design and architecture) in sophisticated and complex environments including the use of simulation and modelling tools. (Knowledge of Python and/or R is a plus),
• Having excellent project management skills, including issue tracking, research, cross-group collaboration, and communication,
• Having experience in creating data driven visualizations (Qlik knowledge is an asset),
• Having experience in writing and speaking about complex technical concepts to broad audiences in a simplified format,
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs and knowledge of SAP is a plus,
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English (German is a plus),
