What awaits you in this role?
We are looking for a passionate Sr. Engineer – R&D (Motor Drive HW Design) who will join our team at WAT Motor – Electronic Product & Projects (R&D).
-Being responsible for research and development of power electronics inverter circuits. Specific activities will include design, test, and validation of power electronic-based products.
-Improving HWs for field-oriented motor control applications on defense and industrial applications.
-Working actively with motor control SW experts and system specialist to drive appropriate tradeoffs to deliver subsystem level attribute targets.
-Performing computer-based component, circuit, and system simulation to prove out design performance and compliance with product specifications
-Developing product requirement specifications and validation plans
-Contributing to development of control algorithms and participate in the development of embedded software and control hardware
-Supporting transitioning newly developed products into the production phase
-Providing technical support for existing products and/or product improvement projects
-Participating actively in a cross-functional product development environment
-Creating design guidelines, modules/libraries and facilitate reuse of knowledge globally.
The position is located in Pendik Teknopark/İstanbul. Hybrid working model is available.
How do we describe the perfect match?
-Bachelor degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
-3+ years of experience in hardware design and test of motor drive projects for defense, industrial and/or consumer applications
-Having knowledge of Electric Machines and Drives, semiconductor technologies (Si, SiC, GaN, etc.), and the design of high-frequency magnetics (Inductors, Transformers etc.)
-Having experience of power electronics and analog electronics circuit analysis programs, such as LTSpice, PSIM, PLECS, etc.
-Being experienced in PCB schematic and layout design tools, such as Altium Designer
-Having experience in communication buses, such as EtherCAT, I2C, SPI, CAN and RS485 etc.
-Hands-on lab experience in soldering, oscilloscope usage, power analyzer usage, inverter testing etc.
-Having experience in MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-1275, IEC 61800-3 and IEC 61800-5-1 standards is a plus
-Excellent verbal and written skills in English
-Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
